– Pre-Kindergarten is designed for children who will be four years old by December 31 of the school year. The classes meet five days per week for varying hours. Our Pre-kindergarten teachers follow the New York State Curriculum guidelines. This curriculum integrates the skills needed for Kindergarten.

Pre-K

Skills include the ability to listen well, follow directions, and continue to develop small muscle control.

Literature, the alphabet, math, beginning writing, health and safety, science, motor skills, social skills, art and music appreciation, dramatic play and self-help skills (i.e. zipping jacket, putting on shoes) will be incorporated into everyday activities.

Our Pre-K program incorporates “Handwriting without Tears” as part of our reading readiness and pre-writing curriculum.
